MARQUISE
Marquise is an incredibly
exciting nine-piece dance band featuring three dynamic lead singers
(one female and two males), sizzling horn section, and high-energy
rhythm section made up of drums, guitar, bass, and keyboards. The
band is extremely versatile, performing the most popular dance styles
of music available including R&B, pop, motown, standards and
swing.
The band's members
are all talented artists in their own rights having performed with
and appeared on the CD's of such notables as The Temptations, Stevie
Wonder, George Benson, Wynnona, Aaron Neville, Christopher Cross,
Kim Carnes, Doc Severinson, Charlie Hampton, and many others. Some
major venues that various individuals have performed at are the
White House, Saturday Night Live, the Cosby Show, Kennedy Center,
Smithsonian and Carnegie Hall.
Marquise was
developed by the manager and leader of the popular group, Sound
Connection. Similarities include the band's high-level dedication
to its clients and an unusually high degree of musical and vocal
talent. The bandleader, Shirleta Settles, is in her fifth year with
the band and has proven to be one of the best and most conscientious
leaders in the region. Marquise's enthusiasm is infectious and the
band will ensure your guests have the time of their lives!
